Arthur Ashe Memorial Tournament (USTA sponsored)
May 19-20 and May 26 - 28, 2012

Dear Club Members and Friends,

This is the first year that our club is sponsoring The Arthur Ashe Memorial Tennis Tournament, which is played over two weekends; May 19-20, and May 26-28, with the finals being played May 28th.

The purpose of the tournament is to raise awareness of Arthur's commitment to junior tennis and raise funds for junior development. Our goal is easy with the support and involvement of club members. We are asking for as many members as possible to sign up for this tournament. Please sign up as early as possible, as we hope this will encourage players from other clubs to sign up for the competition.

You can sign up by printing and completing the attached application, or go online to USTA tournaments and complete the application, or by giving a complete application and check to Barney when you are on the court.

We look forward to working with you on this most important event!

Friendly Reminder:
This is just a friendly reminder that if you haven't renewed your membership, it is past due as of December 31, 2011.
All memberships expire December 31st. (New members who join after July 1st will be offered a 50% discount for the remaining months.)

Don't forget all the many benefits to a club membership, including tennis clinics, leagues, Club Days, social events and endless possibilities to play our favorite game.

There are several easy ways to renew your membership;
1. Pay at the courts (to a board member). We accept Visa/MC at the clubhouse.
2. Pay online via the MVSRA website (see Membership page)
3. Mail your payment in with the application form.

Greetings MVSRA members and friends,

As we continue toward our goal of becoming a prominent and thriving tennis club, we will advance through a unified spirit and a structured organization that will enable us to grow effectively. Some of the initiatives that will enable us to grow are having a strong positive presence in the tennis community and creating a lucrative junior development program. By strenghtening these areas, it will help our operation capabilities and ensure us fine-looking courts to play on. Also, it will provide our youth with growth opportunities so they can focus on improving their tennis game and building the most winning club in Southern California.

Our beautiful San Diego weather affords us the luxury of playing year-round and we've made sure to fill our calendar with events each month. You can always run into one or more of our members at courts in sunny southeast San Diego. We'd like to welcome back our returnig members, as well as, to encourage prospective members to come check us out. Start by visiting our Events Calendar for details on upcoming events.
