At MVSRA, our Leagues are Match Tough.

Competitive play is one of the best ways to guarantee improvement in your tennis game. We currently have three mixed doubles combination teams at MVSRA. The teams are designated 9.0, 8.0, and 7.0. The designation is assigned based on the sum of the USTA ratings of the players who make up each doubles team. The doubles team sum must be equal to or lower than the level in which they are playing. As an example, 7.0 level means a 4.0 player and a 3.0 player, or two 3.5 players are valid combinations. Also the ratings difference between an individual doubles pair may not exceed 1.0. In this way, fair play and good sportsmanship are encouraged. Players must be USTA members, and we welcome all members of MVSRA.
We also have two ladies doubles leagues throughout the year. They are designated A level, and BB level. These leagues play during the week, and follow seasonal rotations of fall, winter, and spring. We also have summer Senior USTA leagues. The leagues play on the same day and time each week, but enjoy traveling to other local clubs for "away" matches, or hosting the match at "home". These leagues are always looking for new players, and especially substitute players. As a substitute player, you play matches when another regular player is unable to play. In this way, you can play competitively, but not feel obligated to a weekly committment.
