Mountain View Sports & Racquet Club’s Team Captain Guidelines

  • For the enjoyment and pleasure of our membership, the board reserves the right to approve all time

slots for team league play. Generally, the Club is not concerned with a selection of leagues except to
ensure that we offer all levels of play. The number of league slots allowed at the club requires the
balance between court time committed to league play and that for the general membership play.

  • Team Captain must be a member of Mountain View Sports and Racquet Assoc in good standing and is

expected to know and implement the rules of the league in which their team plays as well as show
respect for the (MVSRA) code of conduct.

  • The team captain must complete a “Team Captain Court Request Form” for each consecutive season.

This can be found on our website www.mvsra.com. Approvals will be made on a first come first serve
basis. Approval will be sent to you with 2 or 3 days.

  • At least 50% of the team must be members of MVSRA. The captain is responsible for ensuring that all

fees are paid before the season ends. It is the team captain’s responsibility to inform her players and
ensure fees are paid.

  • Non-Members must pay Fee $45. Non-Members can practice on the courts with the team (only

during the season) as long as the team captain is with them. If a non-member plays on more than
one team at the same time, then he/she will pay the league fee only one time during the season.

  • Once team is approved, the captain must pay $54 (an administrative fee) each season. This fee is due

before the first match is played.

  • Captains must submit dates of home matches to the office personnel. Office personnel will reserve the

court for the team matches including make up matches in court reserve. Once the schedule is
published, the Team Captain must call or email the office your home matches to the office. Do not
block out courts before your matches. Your scheduled matches already have warm up time built in
your reservations.

  • Rain Outs – the Office staff will inform the team captains by 7:00 am on the condition of the courts. It

is the captain’s decision whether to play or not.
Please be advised! On rainy days, if your teams decide to play and the courts need cleaning, your team
will be expected to prepare their own courts. Office personnel will assist you but it is just not possible
for one person to prepare (7) courts in time for your match. Any reschedules should be done through
office personnel. Prior to your call, please check for court availability then call or email the office. 619-
